here's how to provide more detailed information on lisp errors in
general:
XEmacs <= 21.1
Options->General Options->Debug On Error
XEmacs >= 21.4
Options->Troubleshooting->Debug On Error
Provoke the error again
Send the *Backtrace* to xemacs-beta(a)xemacs.org.
