My impression is that the broken Emacs packaging scheme of Debian
(which
tries sharing .el files among Emacsen, but places the .elc somewhere
else entirely) is likely to hit XEmacs even worse than it hits Emacs.
Are those of you in the know in this area communicating this back to the
Debian packagers, so they can adjust from trying to save now-less-
precious-bytes-of-diskspace to making the various emacsen and packages
work better?
