There's nothing 3d'ish about the widget.el widgets, my point was that
widget *does* mean something in Emacs outside an X11 context.
I think the word "widget" should be reserved the "widget.el" package
on the Emacs Lisp level.
PS: Can't you set up your Eudora mailer *not* to generate a References
header? The references header it generates is bogus, and breaks
threading.
