[Crash] XEmacs 21.2.31 (yesterday's CVS) in W3

Well, it's rare that I get a crash (obviously not a good beta tester then) but I CVS updated yesterday. I updated my packages for the first time in ages, and (going for the kill) installed W3. Clicking on the URL http://www.masonhq.com/ in a mail message (under VM) sent xemacs to coresville. I saw a new frame appear, a "looking up host" message appear (I think), and possibly a progress bar, too. (I really am sorry that I'm so vague). (Mind you, I do have Options->Internet->Open URLs With->Netscape, so why it chose W3 is another matter).
