Yes, he does---it's a policy issue. This needs discussion before
patching.
And now that I have Stephen trained to answer my email for me, I'll be
training him to submit patches on my behalf next. Then I can
retire.:-)
Seriously, though, the ensuing discussion with the Emacs folks has
convinced me that we should revert to our old definition. Their version
is broken.
