gnus also includes pop3.el.

Renaming our pop3.el would break that integration needlessly.
Yes, it was only a thought, only renaming it would be bad. But I felt
it wasn't perfect to have two (different) files with the same name.
(Which one will be used?)
Also, what about epop3? At least it shares some of the same function
names as mail-lib's pop3.el, and looks like it also share some of the
same features as mail-lib pop3 (UIDL etc). Also, there has actually
been a release of it recently (well, within the last 10 months).
