21.5-b1 "anise" crashed whilst using VM - what now?

Sorry, I'm a bit useless, being a non programmer (one day I'll learn more than just printf "Hello World"; :-), however when things go pear shaped with the Beta(s) what are the commands to be run, what information is required, and in which format should it be submitted? Better still is there a document in place which covers all this? (I'd offer to write one if not, but I clearly know nothing :-) 21.5-b1 died on me without a peep whilst I was using VM - just as I hit the space bar for the next message. Cheers. Baz. P.S.
