One of the others is that the primary developer, Bill Perry, is AFAIK currently busy with other work, and the rest of the core team does not have time to develop expertise. There may already be a fix for this particular bug, but don't bet your day job on it. :-( That said, an interest group formed by Les Schaffer <schaffer(a)optonline.net&gt; is currently maintaining a page of bug reports, workarounds, etc, at http://folks.astrian.net/godzilla/gtk-bugs.html The core will be monitoring that page, I expect one or more new developers to step forward and join Bill as the GTK core (don't know who they are yet, I just have a feeling they're out there :-), and I hope development will pick up in the new year.
