Hello
A recent dicussion in the auctex mailing list let me belive that I am
not the only person who is confused about the official pkg numbering
system.
For example auctex-1.35 corresponds to 11.13 (official)
We had this discussion and I know that within PUI one can figure out
the official package number easily.
However why would it be possible to use the official numbering scheme
as a starting point and to reflect internal (Xemacs) changes by -a
That is
auctex-11.13-a-pkg
auctex-11.14-a-pkg (new offical release ie syn)
auctex-11.14-b-pkg (internal change: in the Package Makefile)
