Without completion, I can't trigger the bug. I moved my .completions-file out of the way, to no avail. completion is from xemacs-packages. I have no idea what version, put the changelog in completion.el talks about some version 10. BTW: This recipe also works in an older XEmacs 21.5b-18, hence it's probably not a new problem.
