Sometimes the toolbar ist overwritten. I experience this even when starting
with "xemacs -vanilla -no-autoloads":
After starting xemacs i just use for example the info: "C-h v
emacs-beta-version RET" and then the toolbar ist overwritten (only about 2
lines of pixels remain).

[Bug: 21.4.12] Stack overflow in regexp matcher

Dear Bug Team!
What happened:
When I have finished the compilation of a C-program, and try to
go directly to any error in the compilation output window, I
get the following error message: Stack overflow in regexp matcher.
What should have happened: Xemacs should have taken me directly
to the file and line of the error.
What was I doing at the time: I was only using Xemacs to compile
my C-program.
Recipe for triggering the bug: 'M-x compile', issue compile
command, compilation finishes with an error, right click on
the error and select Goto error.

Dear Bug Team!
XEmacs is hanging in windows xp quite often when I am editing a remote
file. Usually this occurs when I try to save a remote file. It gets
to 85% or so and hangs. Sometimes when I try to log in remotely to
edit files, I cannot even get as far as using dired. Could this be
related to a reverse dns lookup problem (whacky ftp server causing
probs on the remote host)?

OK, so we know that the problem isn't Gnus. Personally, I suspect a
dodgy libpng. What happens when you visit a PNG file (C-x C-f
/path/to/foo.png RET)? Does XEmacs crash or are you able to view the
image?
Maybe all you need to do is update your libpng and rebuild XEmacs,
linking against the new library.

Any idea who that is? Maybe we can encourage them a bit. :-)
You obviously have reasons for not building your own XEmacs from
source, but that may well be the quickest solution to your problem.

HELLO SIR,
my self HIREN SONI from INDIA. I am making project
on
pc controlled robotic arm and i am programming on vc++. But i
got
problem in WINDOWS 2000/XP/NT there is hardware abstraction
layer.
which will not allow you to access port directlly. so i get the
problem of one of MSCVRTD.DLL missing
so what should i do? Can you help me?
