[AC] [PATCH] Crash in progress bar w/GTK post-ben-merge 22 years, 1 month

This patch will at least keep us from crashing at startup. The progress bar appears to work as well as it ever did now. I am committing this right now. 2002-03-21 William M. vm-visit-folder GC crash still occurring 22 years, 1 month

Hello, Back in September I submitted the following bug report: http://list-archive.xemacs.org/xemacs-beta/200109/msg00357.html [Brief summary: uname -a: CYGWIN_NT-4.0 PASTON 1.3.3(0.46/3/2) 2001-09-12 23:54 i686 unknown ./configure '--with-dragndrop' '--site-includes=/usr/include/w32api' XEmacs 21.5-b3 "asparagus" configured for `i686-pc-cygwin'. M-x vm-visit-folder Visit folder: <large (22M) folder with about 5000 messages> xemacs exits with no messages or stack. Repeatably. This didn't occur with a 21.5-b2 (ish) build.] AFAIK, no one followed this up at the time. I've tried a few more combinations. I can repeat the bug with: the latest 21.4 and 21.4-b4 on cygwin/W2K 21.5-b2 on cygwin/W2K But not with 21.5-b4 on my i686-pc-linux 21.5-b0 on cygwin/NT Unfortunately the two mail files that tickle this bug contain company sensitive information. I've made "clean" VM files of a similar size, but these don't cause the crash - probably because they don't contain complex MIME messages and hence don't cause so much garbage when parsed. Can anyone comment on the stack trace provided with the original report? Maybe someone can guess what happened between 21.5-b1 and 21.5b2 to cause this? Thanks, - Phil

I've made up the temporary package of Liece, an IRC client for Emacsen. Currently the only difference from the contents of liece-1.4.7.tar.gz is introducing package-info.in and Makefile (attached below) in the manner described in the XEmacs packaging manual. I've put the resulting binary package as: http://deisui.org/~ueno/tmp/liece-1.00-pkg.tar.gz If you would like to try it, you can type M-x package-admin-add-binary-package to see most things work. Can't build psgml from CVS 22 years, 1 month

I tried to build the psgml package from CVS and it failed. I fixed it by adding eterm to the REQUIRES line.
