Crash on startup with SuSE 7.3 22 years, 3 months

Sorry I don't have a core to send. I attached a strace and ldd of /usr/local/bin/xemacs. This is what I get when I try to launch: Fatal error (11). Your files have been auto-saved. Use `M-x recover-session' to recover them. Otherwise, please report this bug by running the send-pr script included with XEmacs, or selecting `Send Bug Report' from the help menu. Hello, In *scratch*, by hitting M-x browse-url, I see the following error, Args out of range: #<buffer "*scratch*">, 0, 0 The immediate cause is that set-text-properties calls for the [0, 0] range of the current buffer in browse-url-url-at-point when there is no URL text around point. (defun browse-url-url-at-point () (let ((url (thing-at-point 'url))) (set-text-properties 0 (length url) nil url) url)) GNU Emacs's set-text-properties, however, doesn't fail in the same situation. pcl-cvs: .cvsrs clutters default args BUG + PATCH 22 years, 3 months

Hi. When an empty .cvsrc is found all the pcl-cvs standard args are set to empty. I don't consider this the right behaviour. I think it should be as follows: 1) if there are arguments found .cvsrc use those 1a) special case: If a command is found in .cvsrc with no arguments then use no arguments for that command 2) for those commands that is *not* configured in .cvsrc use pcl-cvs defaults. to provoke the situation create an empty .cvsrc and compare behaviour of (say diff) to the situation where no .cvsrc is found at all. The crash appears to happen whether or not a Makefile is present. The crash appears to happen when the subprocess exiting is handled by compilation-sentinal. I tested this under three conditions - no Makefile, Makefile and make succeeds, and Makefile and make fails.
