A little help with extents please. 24 years

OK, to set the scene, I have the following in a buffer: online away occ dnd ffc na What I want to do is make each one of those an extent and when I click mouse-2 on one it will parse the text as an argument to a function. The manual seems a little confusing to me, can anyone point me in the right direction? more gtk-xemacs issues 24 years

To add to what hniksic provided yesterday, here are my experiences building xemacs-gtk. I hope this information is useful; I'll keep on digging deeper to figure out what exactly the correct fix. The main issues are: 1) the strange [non]scrollbars; see the attached png. The appended Installation shows that XEmacs thinks it's built with GTK scrollbars. 2) (unimplemented/notice) GTK does not support XPM cursors. If xpm and gtk don't mix then configure should warn to that effect. I tried with both a block cursor and a 1 pixel bar cursor, but the error still occurs. 3) I got the same GTK 1.2.9 error that hniksic reported; somehow configure finds my gtk and gnome libraries anyway. And to make things even more interesting, XEmacs built with -lglade anyway (!). So I'm confused. I was able to force configure to use the correct includes by adding ${GTK_INCLUDES} and ${GNOME_INCLUDES} to the command line used to build the conftest, but that's obviously not the right answer. NOTICE: Need URL's, mail addrs, maintainers for the packages 24 years

I'm planning on setting up mail aliases ＠xemacs.org to make it easy to reach package maintainers/developers when sending patches and bug reports, asking questions, etc. Currently my plan is to have four aliases per package, like this: zenirc-bugs: [where to report bugs] zenirc-patches: [where to send patches] zenirc-discuss: [discussion about new features, questions, etc.] zenirc-maintainer: [reach the maintainer directly] obviously, not all packages will have 4 different mail addresses. many will have only one, the maintainer's email address. some may have more than this. but i think this is pretty good in that it should be clear the purpose of the different aliases. i want to collect a general database of package info. please send me -- URL's of packages -- any mail addresses you know [either lists or individuals], along with descriptions if you have them, and the closest mapping onto the above aliases if you feel like it. -- name of the maintainer and their e-mail address, if known. -- other relevant info, if you have any. -- ben I'm sometimes slow in getting around to reading my mail, so if you want to reach me faster, call 520-661-6661. 21.4.0 and gnome/gtk on Solaris? 24 years

I tried doing a gnome build for the first time and everything seems to work ok, until I try to run temacs. (It links without complaints). The error is: ./temacs -nd -batch -l /apps/public/XEmacs/src/xemacs-21.4.0/src/../lisp/update-elc.el ld.so.1: ./temacs: fatal: relocation error: file /apps/public/solaris2.7/GNOME/lib/libgnomeui.so.32: symbol gnome_help_display: referenced symbol not found ldd temacs shows all the expected libraries. What do I need to get gtk running? Ray Installation file:
