Whenever I try to change the fonts I get the error message:
Wrong type argument: number-char-or-makerker-p, nil
Any way to fix this?

Hi John,
webmaster only takes care of the XEmacs Website itself.
Please direct future questions or bug reports regarding XEmacs to
comp.emacs.xemacs (for released XEmacs versions) or
xemacs-beta(a)xemacs.org for XEmacs development version in Beta or Gamma
phase.
Regarding your question:
You'll need to build and/or install libXpm.dll separately as it is not
part of XEmacs sources.

My temacs bootstrap fails as shown in the "clip" attached ( tail -n 100
build.log ).
Installation file also attached.

Dear Bug Team!
Scandinavian characters like äö display right, but when I try to type
those I get M-v from ö and M-d from ä. (I have Finnish keyboard.)
Neither set-keyboard-coding-system or set-terminal-coding-system has
any effect. The input of those keys works in the xterm that I am
using.
This should be -vanilla 21.4.4 and I get the same result with 21.5
from cvs also.
There could also be more documentation about these issues.

Hi,
On every version of xemacs and gtk over the past year (unstable debian
so I'm never quite sure of gtk versions...), trying to compile out the
toolbar is very incompatible with gnome/gtk. One seems to get an extra
toolbar window appearing and a flurry of focus confusion from the window
manager and so on - exact behaviour I'm sure dependent on exact system
configuration.
Should it be expected to work?
The only reason I really would like to do this is that I'd like to avoid
the excessive geometric contortions that xemacs appears to go through in
sizing the main window. Changing the default face, hiding the toolbar,
and various other tweaks all appear to be executed after the main window
has been mapped. If there's a neat way of delaying the main window
mapping that would be a good thing to document.

I started thinking about that with MIME support in sendmail.el, but
I'm not sure it is a good idea -- large parts of Gnus is dragged into
mail-lib. No problem with that, but it might cause some confusion if
someone (not unreasonable) wanted to think like "I need qp.el, it's
part of Gnus, so I grab the XEmacs Gnus package". Hm. But they would
need the mail-lib package to get the gnus package to work
anyway... ah, I dunno. Syncing the packages would be a little messier
as well (especially if we spread out files into several packages, not
only mail-lib).
It probably is a good idea. The MIME stuff needed for sendmail.el was
fairly standalone, and it might be a good idea to make it completely
standalone anyway. The same might apply to other "internet" files as
well.

Steve, mail-lib is ready for a pretest release now.
Since lots of things has changed, I expect there might be bugs so I
ask everyone who has time to report them to try the new pretest
package so the bugs are found before it is publicly released.
