unrecognized selection-conversion type 25 years, 5 months

I'm still seeing the problem detailed in the attached msg - but I'm not so sure any more that it's related to virtual desktops - it also happens right after I save a buffer it's very strange - once it starts happening in an XEmacs process, it keeps happening sporadically (beep.... beep beep.... beep......... beep....) no one else sees this? anything I can do to help find the cause aside from doing a binary search in my .emacs to see which of my customizations might be triggering it? -- John A. 21.2.34 hangs if left alone 25 years, 5 months

Hi, Basically, subj. My machine is always up. With 21.2.33, I left XEmacs running at all times, and never had any problems when returing to the computer. With 21.2.34, if I leave XEmacs open during the night, in the morning it is dead - still shows up in the window list though. I have to kill -KILL it. I'm using XEmacs CVS version (last updated late night yesterday - May 30), built under cygwin (1.1) running on NT 4 sp 6a. -- Cheers, -Dima.

can't make C-u C-u work? 25 years, 5 months

Hi, I just upgraded pcl-cvs to from an XEmacs beta version to this current one. pcl-cvs version: 2.9.9 (XEmacs package # 1.46) XEmacs version: 21.1.6, with most packages updated to more recent copies Problem: From within the cvs buffer created after Examine Directory command from XEmacs:Tools:PCL CVS: menu, I mark an 'unknown' file (using 'm'), and add it (using 'a'). This all works as expected. Then I attempt to commit it to the repository with a commit flag of '-r 2.0', by doing the following: Enter: C-u C-u c Result: puts me in the cvs-commit comment buffer and prompts me to enter C-c C-c when finished. If I do, it provides me with a prompt 'Really commit? (y or n)'. If I enter 'y' it commits, if I enter 'n' it takes me back to comment buffer. The entry of the original C-u C-u seems to have no effect, and the variable cvs-commit-flags remains defined as nil,nil,nil.... Am I making a mistake? Or is the code incorrect? directory prompting doesn't work? 25 years, 5 months

Hi, I just upgraded pcl-cvs to from an XEmacs beta version to this current one. pcl-cvs version: 2.9.9 (XEmacs package # 1.46) XEmacs version: 21.1.6, with most packages updated to more recent copies Problem: After choosing Examine Directory or Status Directory from XEmacs:Tools:PCL CVS menu, I am prompted for a directory, and a cvs buffer is created with the update or status information for the chosen directory From within the cvs buffer, I try M-e or M-s, and am not prompted for a new directory (as the documentation leads me to believe). These commands only operate on the originally specified directory. From some other XEmacs buffer, I can choose XEmacs:Tools:PCL CVS:Examine Directory or Status Directory and be prompted for a new directory, which then creates a new cvs buffer (cvs<2>) with this info in it. Perhaps this is the way it is desired to work, but the documentation leads me to believe otherwise... My suggestions: - Add menu items & key equivalents to the CVS menu (accessible from the cvs buffer) for the items in Tools:PCL CVS: - Fix the key equivalents to prompt for directory (or change/clarify in documentation), or add new ones that prompt for new directory My comments: - Thank you all very much for the effort you have put into this! It really IS appreciated. - I heartly support and commend you for 'unifying' the pcl-cvs package(s). It helps make it less confusing for us users. eudc versus keyboard focus 25 years, 5 months

This bug has existed for quite some time and it's somewhat annoying. >From xemacs -vanilla, I start an eudc query with form. Enter some appropriate values into the form, and press Query. When the result is returned, xemacs thinks it no longer has keyboard focus since the text cursor is hollow. In fact, it doesn't have focus. Without moving the mouse, any typing into that xemacs has no effect. If I move the mouse out of the window and back in, focus is returned. Now press Quit. Focus is lost once again. Basically, after anything happens with eudc, my xemacs seems to give up focus. However, the xemacs frame decoration is still highlighted so the window manager still thinks it has focus. This happens on my Solaris 2.7 build using gcc 2.7.2.2, Openwin. If it matters I'm using fvwm 2.2.4 as my window manager. I've set up fvwm so that focus follows mouse. This would be really annoying if I did ldap searches more often. Now it's only mildly annoying. Any hints on what the problem could be or where to look? Ray
