New supercite feature, anyone want it? 25 years, 10 months

This violates 'caller protects' but I guess that's acceptable here. BTW, the nested version of GCPRO isn't documented in the internals manual. I only found it by chance in lisp.h. try-completion buglet? 25 years, 10 months

finds an "exact" match but with differing case? For example: (let ((completion-ignore-case t)) ;; ignore case (try-completion "foo" '(("Foo" . 1))) ;; Returns "Foo" (try-completion "Foo" '(("Foo" . 1))) ;; Returns t ) I think `t' should be returned for both cases. 21.0 elc not readable by 20.4 (when using dolist) 25 years, 10 months

When I load an elc file, compiled by XEmacs-21.0-b47, in XEmacs-20.4, I get the following error Invalid read syntax: "#" Loading /home/clstaff/wedler/emacs/.bugs/bug-elc.elc... The source file looks like: bug-elc.el: (dolist (dummy '(1 2 3))) The elc file from XEmacs-21.0 contains: (byte-code "ÀÁ«＠A¬w*Á" [(1 2 3) nil dummy #1=#:--dolist-temp--35781] 3) The culprit is #1=#. This is at least something for the NEWS file... - Christoph
