Losses are quite high at the moment. Looks like MAE-East may be the
problem. It frequently is. I'm seeing about 20% loss to the site
(
gwyn.tux.org) and to the first hop past MAE-East. MAE-East is the
primary Atlantic coast network meet point.
This is enough to bring TCP to a crawl. Unfortunately, there is little
that can be done to fix it except to route around it. I just don't
know of any other place to get to their carrier, rcn, at this time.
The ftp and www sites are really the same place. cvs is an entirely
separate system at a different location.
