Well, it turns out that the LDFLAGS addition is not necessary for the
build - it has been added before.
The LIBOSSAUDIO, though, is dangling - it is set by a successful
autoconf test, but never used anywhere else. I think configure.in needs
to define a has_ossaudio, and act on that by extending LIB or similar.
My auto fu is limited - I could propose a patch, but you probably
wouldn't like it. ;)
