GPLv3|L8R -- Status report - ready for inspection? 7 years, 10 months

Hi, Here comes yet another status report from the project of converting to GPLv3 or later. There are two lists of files below. The first list contains all files that are in an undecided state. Please inspect: Do we need to do anything with them. If so what? The second list contains all files that we can leave untouched and the reason for that. Please inspect: Are all reasons OK and correct? Are we getting close to the were an inspection of the xemacs-gplv3 repository could be performed? Buildbot and your iMac slaves. 7 years, 11 months

Hi Raymond -- Thanks for keeping up the buildbot slaves. I note that recently, as visible at http://lidell.nu/xemacs-buildbot/grid , they’ve given up with the configure test: configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables See `config.log' for more details This might be because the C compiler is no longer installed, or there’s a flag that no longer works. Restoring a message ID service. 8 years

Hi folks -- I’ve put up a replacement for mid.gmane.org for the XEmacs-relevant emails. E.g. http://mid.gmane.org/58b4.90f4.39346.2aa1＠parhasard.net will redirect to the opening post to the restored xemacs-beta(a)xemacs.org. Again, the archives are incomplete. I would be grateful for any you have, especially for xemacs-patches within the last five years, I had been automatically unsubscribed and those messages are especially relevant in those links in the code to http://mid.ANYTHING. xemacs-beta not forwarded to gmane anymore? 8 years

I noticed that the recent messages to xemacs-beta don't seem to be forwarded to gmane.emacs.xemacs.beta anymore. The last messages I see there are from Jun 24, 2016. Maybe they haven't been restored yet? (Other lists I'm on are working correctly on gmane.) -- Ray

But: make install after make beta, gives output corresponding to the above. Do you mean that make beta attempts to install for you? I get the same behaviour as above with revision 63ae8a489fed , before merging of the unicode-internal code. If you are typing make install, what *should* happen in the --with-prefix=no case, in your opinion?
