[Bug: 21.4.22] segmentation fault MacOSX Snow Leopard/Macports installed versioon

Dear Bug Team!
A newly installed macports xemacs fails with the included
lisp trace. I believe the problem somehow involves font-lock-mode,
although I cannot be sure of that. I also believe this is a
previously reported bug.
I am running on a Mac PowerBookPro, MacOSX 10.6.8, SnowLeopard.
The problem occurs whether or not I use my (usual) .emacs initialization file.

1) Tools -> Packages -> Add Download Site -> Pre-Releases
2) Tools -> Packages -> List and Install
3) Select the packages you wish to install (there are brief
instructions at the bottom of the packages buffer).

xemacs beta build hangs on mac OSX Lion with 2.5.31 with no_pie patch applied

Greetings,
I grabbed a stack trace by attaching to the process with gdb -p PID
I've also included the log of the to the point it hangs (99% cpu forever.. left it running overnight one time).
Looks like it's hanging polling for some X event..
Please let me know if there's any more information needed.

gnugo / fsf emacs "display" property workaround?

Hi there,
I'm new to the list. Trying to get the glyphs in gnugo working. As you
may guess by the name, it only works in GNU emacs. There, it uses the
'display property to replace the gnugo text-mode board with graphical
images. In XEmacs, I tried using the begin-glyph or end-glyph. Problem
is, if I additionally set invisible t, the glyph won't respond to mouse
clicks (as point can't go into the invisible text)
Further problem is that the spaces in between, when made invisible, will
also hide the end-glyph
Do I have any chance, or is this impossible to get working in XEmacs?

gnugo / fsf emacs "display" property workaround?

Hi there,
I'm new to the list. Trying to get the glyphs in gnugo working. As you
may guess by the name, it only works in GNU emacs. There, it uses the
'display property to replace the gnugo text-mode board with graphical
images. In XEmacs, I tried using the begin-glyph or end-glyph. Problem
is, if I additionally set invisible t, the glyph won't respond to mouse
clicks (as point can't go into the invisible text)
Further problem is that the spaces in between, when made invisible, will
also hide the end-glyph
Do I have any chance, or is this impossible to get working in XEmacs?

I'm trying to update the VM package, and as this is my first ever
interaction with the package system, it's a bit daunting.
First question: what am I supposed to do with auxiliary programs
(qp-decode, base64-decode etc) that VM likes to have?
Since XEmacs has built-in base64 functions, I guess the base64
programs are superfluous anyway; and perhaps qp-*code are superfluous
because any qp-encoded message part is likely to be small anyway.
But if I did want them, what would I do with them?
Secondly, is there a way to check out the package infrastructure
without getting the whole of the package sources?
(This is also my first interaction with Mercurial, since these days
every project uses a different VCS...)

This breaks XEmacs compatibility because our version of
delete-directory doesn't accept a second argument. In fact, we don't
seem to have any simple way to delete a directory and its contents in
XEmacs right now.
I can't look into this in a short term, but maybe someone will beat me
to it...
