It appears there is some support in the new vc for Mercurial (hg). When I
visit a file I see a mercurial library is loaded. Alas, ediff commands seem
not to work (e.g. ediff-revision claims the file I'm visiting isn't under
version control). Are these problems known?
Thx,

Regarding my previous email, I am willing to do some debugging (I have
some experience with ddd) of the source if this indeed turns out to be a
bug. If for nothing else, then out of spite towards FSF, which in my
opinion has totally lost any grip on reality.
Of course I need some hint on where to look at.

John Wiegley <johnw(a)gnu.org> is the listed maintainer of that
package for XEmacs.
John, can you say at this time when an update might take place? (If
you're no longer interested in maintaining it, please let us know and
we'll try to find another maintainer.)

Dear Bug Team!
This is very strange. I use Mutt as my mail user agent and set editor
to gnuclient so that I can use XEmacs as my message editor.
After compose several mail messages I noticed that, the auto-fill is
actually did not functional in the newly created XEmacs frame. I have
to refill every long line by hand even if the mode-line indicator
showing the buffer is in auto-fill-mode.
Firstly I suppose that file-column seted to a very big number, but
that is not the case, it has a value 70 as usual.

I have no trouble seeing them either, just the wrong color map, like Glynn Clements describes in his post.

Hi,
I'm getting an assertion error with latest version from CVS under both
Linux and Windows (cygwin). The assertion occurs when the frame is
iconified. Info from Linux follows. The assertion is this.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fatal error: assertion failed, file glyphs-shared.c, line 331, ((((enum Lisp_Type) (((unsigned long)(dfc_slsta)) & ~(((1UL << ((4 * 8) - 2)) - 1UL) << 2))) == Lisp_Type_Record) && (((struct lrecord_header *) ((void *) (dfc_slsta)))->type == (unsigned int) (lrecord_type_string)))
Fatal error (6).
Your files have been auto-saved.
Use `M-x recover-session' to recover them.
Your version of XEmacs was distributed with a PROBLEMS file that may describe
your crash, and with luck a workaround. Please check it first, but do report
the crash anyway.
Please report this bug by invoking M-x report-emacs-bug, or by selecting
`Send Bug Report' from the Help menu. If that won't work, send ordinary
email to `xemacs-beta(a)xemacs.org'. *MAKE SURE* to include this entire
output from this crash, especially including the Lisp backtrace, as well as
the XEmacs configuration from M-x describe-installation (or equivalently,
the file `Installation' in the top of the build tree).
*Please* try *hard* to obtain a C stack backtrace; without it, we are unlikely
to be able to analyze the problem. Locate the core file produced as a result
of this crash (often called `core' or `core.<process-id>', and located in
the directory in which you started XEmacs or your home directory), and type
gdb /src/beta/xemacs/bin/xemacs core
then type `where' at the debugger prompt. No GDB on your system? You may
have DBX, or XDB, or SDB. (Ask your system administrator if you need help.)
If no core file was produced, enable them (often with `ulimit -c unlimited')
in case of future recurrance of the crash.
