I don't know if this is related but the old bug that keeps haunting me
with 21.5 has occurred twice before I get this core dump . The old bug
is this: While (most often in a gnus *Group*) buffer I try open a
dired buffer, Ctrl-x Ctrl-j (dired-jump-back), dired somehow gets the
idea that the *Group* buffer actually is the dired buffer and reports
something about a mangled subdir or something. This is not strange
since the contents of a *Group* buffer doesn't look at all like a
dired buffer. The odd thing is why dired somehow looses the buffer
with the ls-listing and tries to continue its work with the wrong
buffer.
This does not always occur with gnus. It can happen with other
buffers as well.
Yours
