Then it might only work in X? It works in
"XEmacs 21.4 (patch 15) \"Security Through Obscurity\" [Lucid] (i386-suse-linux, Mule) of Thu Oct 21 2004 on galerkin"
and also on Solaris, with a version that I don't have handy.
In fact, I use that setting unchanged since June 2000; I don't
remember the XEmacs version that I had then.

Sorry, I don't understand that.
With customization of text-cursor one may change the color of the
rectangle that shows where point is. This works in 21.4 and 21.5.
APA> Does anyone know what the pointer face is for?
In 21.4, one can change the color of the mouse pointer with that face.
I think that's the one that's set with the specifier that's bound to
text-pointer-glyph and nontext-pointer-glyph. Come to think of that --
that variable is bound to
#<glyph (pointer) #<image-specifier global=(((x) . [cursor-font :data "xterm"]) ((tty) . [cursor-font :data "xterm"]) ((stream) . [cursor-font :data "xterm"])) fallback=((nil . [nothing])) 0x9d0>0x9cf>
Maybe I can change the color in that specifier?
I have not yet worked with image specifiers. Is that possible?
Cheers,
Joachim
