Once more, a little problem I have building the CVS HEAD packages (I've
started so I'll finish?). I seem to be getting into the swing of this now: I
hope everyone else is enjoying themselves just as much as I am :-) (I'll do
the honest thing after this and drop back from HEAD for the packages too.)
The current installment of the saga is that the liece package refuses to
cooperate. I'm building using a locally built copy of 21.4.8, without mule,
with no packages installed on the box, on the latest release of cygwin on a
w2k box.
I get auto-autoloads.elc and custom-load.elc compiled but nothing else. I've
appended the relevant section of the make output to the end of the message.

Hi,
I've been trying to use subj. (installed the net-utils package
last week to get it), but it just says
Cannot open load file: sendmail
In case it matters, I have a mail server configured on my machine
(SuSE Linux) but it isn't sendmail - it's qmail.
XEmacs is from today's CVS (xemacs-21.5); I'm including the buffer
of Tools|Packages|List and Install in case I'm missing some
dependency. If there is any aditional info you need please let me
know.

This is a minor lack of flexibility in M-x build-report.
build-report looks in several files for a log of your build, then
cleans out "uninteresting" lines and adds them to report if present.
If a file is not found, it issues a warning. It could be made
possible to silence these warnings via Custom, but it isn't yet.

Dear Bug Team!
I've continually had to use the option '--with-msw=no' to configure
xemacs, including CVS (as of yesterday). I read about this fix on a
message I found from googling, which said that if wine is installed
(which it is for me), configure will fail unless this option is used.
Is this a known problem, or something that just I am having?

clipboard breakage under MS Win

Jerry, the clipboard has suddenly stopped working under Windows. The following change:

* select.c (Fown_selection_internal): Document connection with
interprogram-cut-function.
* select.c (Fget_selection_internal): return Qnil if XEmacs owns
the selection and it does not need coercion.

has done it. (Verified -- I backed out your change, and the problem went away.) The symptoms are this:
i have f3 bound to copy-primary-selection, and f4 bound to yank-clipboard-selection.
if i select text, hit f3, then move a bit, and hit f4, it used to work, but now i get the error
"there is no clipboard selection".
can you please take a look and see what's broken? if you can't get to it right away i suggest backing out the change and putting it back again when it's working.

(Sorry if this is the wrong list, I found none that fits better)
Don't know if this is already known, but I think it should. I tried
Xemacs 21.4 on a Win2k-Machine (German Version). Although I choosed
"C:\Programme\Xemacs" as the installation target the registry entries
points to "C:\Program Files...". (Formerly an older version of XEmacs
was installed, I think 21.1 or so). Maybe the entries have been done by
the older version, but they should be overwritten by the new
installation. It's nasty, because some useful things like macros will
not work correctly until the reg-entries are fixed to "C:\Programme...".
If its already known and fixed, forget this mail, otherwise I think it
should be no problem to fix in in the next version.

Dear Bug Team!
When I open a file through the menu bar, I expect to get a file dialog
as in my xemacs-21.1.14, but in this version I vas presented with the
mibuffer exactly as if I have typed C-x C-f
I have launched xemacs with the option -q since I donot want it to mess
up with my .xemacs file (it ask me to convert it), as I would not use
this version of xemacs until the bug has been fixed.

this, since I don't have nmh installed on the Powerbook).
