Seems to be mildly broken. auto-autoloads.el* are generated in $srcdir/modules/, not $blddir/modules/$module/. module-load-path ends up being "$blddir/modules/". (require 'postgresql) fails. (load-module "postgresql") fails. (load-module "postgresql/postgresql") succeeds. Some non-`--srcdir' gnits: It would be nice if zlib and base64 were detected by toplevel configure and added to MAKE_SUBDIR. What happens if both Gnus and modules/base64 provide `base64-encode'? Which wins? CC-MODE needs update in xemacs-packages 22 years, 1 month

Build issue with RedHat 8.0 22 years, 1 month

I tried searching the archives, but the page was timing out, so I don't know if you know about this. Wrong type argument: vectorp, #<INTERNAL OBJECT (XEmacs bug?) (symbol-value-forward type 7488) 0x4075f008> xemacs exiting (I had to run make again, because the information scrolled out of the window.) Just to let you know. Poorly designed download access 22 years, 1 month

Please describe as succinctly as possible: - What happened. - What you thought should have happened. - Precisely what you were doing at the time. The issue here lies in the very confusing nature of the download process. I prefer to use the setup.exe approach, but it is hidden so successfully and carefully on the xemacs site that I cannot find it. Congratulations on successfully hiding this! What about a revolutionary idea? Placing a link to the setup.exe on the download page!! What an idea.

Xemacs 21.5.9 - Build failure - W2K 22 years, 1 month

Hi, XEmacs build on W2K using MSVC 6.0 fails. The xemacs.mak file has an entry which prevents the build (-ZI flag for debug build). File Open / Directory functions don't work unless ... 22 years, 1 month

you use the command line. They don't work using the icons/buttons and they don't work using the main menu ( FILE/OPEN ). A messages pops up saying "Symbol's function definition is void: xpm-button-create" I am using the rs6000-ibm-aix4* binary ... I just downloaded the xemacs-base package and placed it in the directory structure but may not have put it in the right place. /usr/opt/xemacs21.1.3/bin/rs6000-ibm-aix4.3.0.0/xemacs ( executable ) /usr/opt/xemacs21.1.3/bin/xemacs21.1.3-package/lisp /etc /pkginfo thanks in advance, pat q. pquinnet(a)j-quin.com
