If you create the .Z files on, say, a Solaris box, wouldn't that be
legally safe? Presumably Unisys has already made Sun pay up for
compress.
Of course, displaying them legally might be a problem without
GIFreader.
Just bite the bullet and convert all .Z stuff to PNG. Hmm, what about
all of the tar files?
