Yes, I guessed that this error message is ok, although the crash is
not.

I've now downgraded to 2.6.3i. Everything seems to work now, at least
I get into the package and not into thin air ... nice.
Sorry for the confusion, although a more subtle approach to the
problem of pgp versions might be a good thing to think about :-)
