[crash] in Aphrodite when displaying Gnus-picon 26 years, 4 months

I just experienced a crash in a (unpatched) 21.2.5 (Linux 2.0.35, egcs1.1, --gung-ho) it had been running happily for quite a while (like, a couple of days, core dump size was 21MB). The crash happend in Gnus, when displaying a new article (apparently while trying to bring up the picon). 21.0 "Poitou60" IRIX6.2 compilation warning 26 years, 4 months

XEmacs 21.0.60 is released 26 years, 4 months

Get it from the usual places. Tar: ftp://ftp.xemacs.org/pub/xemacs/beta/xemacs-21.0/ CVS: http://cvs.xemacs.org/ Packages: ftp://ftp.xemacs.org/pub/xemacs/packages/ The SUMO tarballs are up to date. Untar them in $prefix/lib/xemacs. This is another experimental release that happened to work. I hope to release a "real" 21.0 within a few days. All emergency patches I could find have been applied. If anything has been missed, scream at me and point me in the direction of the patch I forgot or resend it. The only technical detail lacking for release is a working PGP and we're working on that. There will be periodic 21.1 maintenance releases while folks are developing cool stuff in 21.2. Note that until PGP signing is possible on cvs.xemacs.org I'm not updating the individual binary package tarballs. Sigh. Yes. You should put it in the packages directory. That's the entire point of packages. My suggestion would be to create a directory in packages/lisp called `netmeg', and put your lisp in there. Or, you can call it site-lisp. The important point is that there should only really be one way of adding non-base lisp to XEmacs, and that's the packages hierarchy. -- Colin
