Please tell us what versions of X and the window managers that have

Note that with GNOME/metacity, the window is not completely "frozen"
into the maximized state, but there's a weird delay between trying to
un-maximize it and when it actually reacts, as I've tried to explain at
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/111225#c19 . But with KDE/kwin, I cannot
get 21.4.x to un-maximize at all. All the above is both with and
without the maximization patch.
and send a build report based on a build log (ie,
beta.err). I'm seeing a lot of warnings with gcc 4.1.x.
Attached is the full rpm build log, there's no beta.err. If you need
more/other info, let me know how to produce it and I'll look into it.
Note #1: The rpm build generates two XEmacs binaries and packages, the
first is a trimmed down XEmacs without X and Mule etc, and the latter is
the "full" one. So you'll probably be interested in looking at the
latter build only, starting from around line 2623 in the log.
Note #2: I'm building with gcc 3.2.3 because XEmacs 21.4.x built with
gcc 4.1 is reported to be crashy/"freezy",
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/183643 . The 21.5.27 which doesn't have the
maximization issue on this system is built with gcc 4.1.1.
