[AC] [PACKAGES (gnus)] Sync up with upstream stable

APPROVE COMMIT This sync's up the XEmacs Gnus package with the current upstream stable branch (the 5.10 branch). I'm not including a diff here because it was a tad over 1Mb. I did, however tag CVS so if anyone is curious, you can get a diff with... $ cvs diff -r gnus-1_86 -r sync-with-upstream-2005-11-15 (from the gnus/ dir of course) Adrian, this sync _includes_ your patch to nnir.el.
