XEmacs 21.5 (beta24) "dandelion" [Lucid] (i686-pc-linux, Mule) of Thu Dec 29 2005 on vilya Fixes a bug in completion buffers that prevented me from using the keyboard to move between completions. Almost everything ended up putting point at the end of the last completion (and at point-max) It seems that something rather fundamental has changed. Completion mode is derived from list-mode. list-mode uses properties to track/locate list items (it seems, I don't fully understand the code.) The next and previous functions worked by moving point until the properties changed. The properties put on the items were not text properties but the functions used to move over properties were ones that only worked with text properties. I changed the functions called to ones that work with non-text properties. As a point of information for me: this is dumped lisp code for a beta version. [PATCH] erc-bbdb usability fix. 18 years, 1 month

Hi all, I suppose I must be one of the very few using BBDB with erc, because by default the erc-bbdb package exhibits a veryu annoying behavior I find hard to believe people like: * When showing the BBDB popup, the BBDB buffer is electric which means that it captures the keyboard "focus" and basically prevents updates to the channel buffer. * Specially annoying when a lot of the people in the channel are known to you and you are joining. The patch adds a customize option to control this behavior (I think off is the right default, but feel free to put it as t for backwards compatibility.) With erc-bbdb-electric-p set to nil, the bbdb buffer is no longer electric and it does not block progress. Thanks, Nelson -- Nelson Ferreira

[Patch 21.4] No default built-in package path in Windows 18 years, 1 month

This patch allows Windows configuration _not_ to specify a package path. This change is similar to (although smaller in scope than) a part of what was done in the 21.5 runtime packages path. [Patch 21.4] Patches for gcc-4.1.0 under Windows 18 years, 1 month

gcc-4.1.0 seems to be stricter about certain things than gcc-3.4.4 was. I just built and installed gcc-4.1.0 and these fixes seem to be necessary. Please review; barring feedback I will commit soon. Then M-x view-register that register and you'll get an error message telling you that yank-excluded-properties isn't bound. PATCH 21.5 Ahhhhhh .... patcher! This little patch doesn't really solve the problem, because we have already released a Gnus that calls widget-move-and-invoke, even though no released XEmacs has that function. We will also need to patch Gnus somehow. In any case, we might as well get this function now so it will be standard at some point in the future.
