RESEND: Patch to build on latest Cygwin (1.5.19) 18 years, 2 months

I sent this a couple of days ago, but it never showed up on either list I addressed it to... The patch below fixes a compiler error that occurs when building the latest 21.5 sources from CVS on the latest Cygwin release. Cygwin 1.5.19 has removed the d_ino field from 'struct dirent' since it wasn't used on Cygwin and apparently POSIX doesn't require it to be present. I haven't done a great deal of testing with this patch, but dired seems to work fine with it. Also, I had to disable the new allocator when building as it was causing core dumps. I haven't had much time to look at it, but apparently, SYS_PAGE_SIZE was returning an unrecognized value in init_mc_allocator() which was causing ABORT() to be called from the switch statement at the beginning of the function. Hi, I just read a reporting sample on a web-site and saw this address to go to. I have a probablem with somebody also, here it goes: There was this boy(or girl) and clames that they talked to me before,they never did though. I dont remember his/her screen name. Then I asked them to please go away or else I would report them. THEN they started to say curses at me. I only remember that they said: bye bye bitchen mother fucker... that was really mean! Patch for VC package for using CVS on MS Windows 18 years, 3 months

Hi there, I posted this message (using a -c4 style diff) to the xemacs-beta mailing list already. I am now posting here because I just noticed that patches are supposed to be sent to xemacs-patches instead of xemacs-beta, and in diff -u format as opposed to diff -c4. I use XEmacs on MSWindows, and make extensive use of the VC package for my source files which are under CVS. Occasionally I encounter a file which is stored in CVS in CamelCase, but I visited the file in xemacs by entering the name in lowercase (which can happen, since windows filenames are case-insensitive). In these circumstances the VC module doesn't recognize the file as being under CVS control, since the name doesn't match the CVS/Entries file entry. I therefore wish to submit the following patch to vc-hooks.el, which forces a case-insentive comparison for mswindows systems.
