I finally got to implement a splash buffer with rotating items. We can now display much more interesting information in a readable format, even in 24 lines terminals. This is not sent yet to xemacs-patches because I'm sure Kyle will have something to object ;-) You don't have to recompile everything to try it. Apply the patch, re-eval the files startup.el and menubar-items.el, and then type `M-x xemacs-splash-buffer'.
