Jep, I specifed "--with-athena=next", it still crashes. William Perry
provided me with a patch so that I'm at least able to use w3 somehow,
but the situation is not very satisfying.
Indeed. The configure script should try hard not to build a not-working
XEmacs.

Hnmpff. A ldd /usr/local/bin/xemacs gives me the following:
stefanie@diabolo[~]>ldd /usr/local/bin/xemacs
libXaw.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw.so.6 (0x4001b000)
Is this where you installed your neXtaw library shared library? Also
could you send me the Installation file from a recent CVS
XEmacs/configure run -- you don't need to actually build it, just do
your standard configure.
`Installation' should have the paths that it found the libraries and
headers at in it.
Also, where did you put the neXtaw library and header files?
