officially be activated.
I seem to recall that binding C-x C-b to 'ibuffer was suggested before.
Is this The Right Thing?
What's the correct idiom to state "I want to use ibuffer instead of

Buffers > List All Buffers menu item too.
I want to change core so that C-x C-b (and the menu item) runs a
list-all-buffers command, and that calls the value of a customizable
variable list-all-buffers-function (or should that be called
list-all-buffers-command?); is this a good idea?

Sounds good to me. list-all-buffers-function would get my vote.
I just use
(global-set-key '[(control ?x) (control ?b)] 'ibuffer)
for now.

I'd call it 'list-all-buffers-function'. Sounds like a great idea,
just *don't* default it to ibuffer.
