Hmmm. Why not just test for XEmacs and set the default for
clearcase-maintainer-address accordingly?
I think I'd rather have all bug reports concerning the XEmacs
package of clearcase.el go to ＠xemacs.org. We have local changes
that probably will not show in upstream releases. Kevin Esler
might not feel responsible for doing something about my bugs ;)

I think you're right, Michael.
I already sent this directly to Michael, but, since you also seem
interested, I'll repeat it here. His response doesn't seem to answer
my basic point which was why not simply set the variable that is
already there (clearcase-maintainer-address) to the xemacs.org address
in the XEmacs clearcase package rather than add a new variable? I
just don't see a reason to diverge the package from the upstream
version anymore than necessary.

I think Michael's solution is a good way to document an
XEmacs-package-specific change.
It will be obvious during syncs with upstream.

We do that for all XEmacs packages.
