Some of us (like me) subscribe to xemacs-beta, but not -patches. As a result,
I only pull a 'cvs update' on an infrequent basis (usually when either I
get brave or xemacs-beta has something posted that indicates it's time
for a refresh).
As an alternative, may I suggest this: The Enlightenment crew has a
daily/weekly 'cvs commits' mailing list, that automagically mails all
interested subscribers a summary of recent activity. A sample from
today's mail:
