Perhaps it died due to lack of editor macros support for editting
that type of document? I'm reading a C programming book written with
it, and it's not a bad way to do that sort of thing, I think. The
book looks pretty nice. If XEmacs well supported literate
programming, perhaps it would become more popular. (pdflatex is way
cool! No paper, and you can search it!)
It would be a real hassle trying to edit C in LaTeX or pSGML mode, or
vice versa, I think.
