The package updates have been completed and have been uploaded to the FTP site and committed to CVS. The new package-get-base is called package-get-base.el-21.0-pre1 and is current with what will be in the source tree. Details will be provided in the release announcement. Oops, I take that back. There is a new version of eudc I forgot about. The package-get-base.el in the next release will reflect it. A note about the naming. I'm dropping the beta # internally so that configure defaults to no debug and no error checking. Externally, it's going to remain looking like a beta. That means that the tarballs are going to be named xemacs-21.0-b44.tar.gz, etc. even though they're not really betas. This is being done for the convenience of some who use automated tools for tracking releases. Lastly, this is not a release candidate. There are a few code patches pending and a number of documentation changes are also pending. If you submitted a patch that needs to get into 21.0 and you don't see it in this release and you have *not* received a message from me indicating that the patch is still on the waiting list, then it would probably be a good idea to resubmit it to xemacs-patches(a)xemacs.org.
