Well, instead of eating breakfast, I hacked this together. If you are
using a recent XEmacs/GTK (compiled with the GNOME stuff to get the full
effect), load up the attached file, create a new frame and away you go.
This is way way cool!
Will you support the buffer tab and other stuff that came in more
recent cvs in XEmacs/gtk as well?
I still wonder why there are problems using native gtk/gnome menubars.
normally the "main" area resizes itself in a gtk app to cover the
space the detached menubar occupied before.
