Start xemacs on linux console M-x load-library RET gpm RET M-x gpm-mode RET C-z XEmacs spins printing libgpm: zero screen dimension, assuming 80x25 Attaching with gdb shows XEmacs is in some signal handler from the GPM library. Given that 1.14 is also the version that has the hang problems with the older XEmacs versions, maybe we should make configure check for libgpm 1.15 or greater? Jan
