You might. If you are depending upon XIM for data entry, things will
be highly broken.

I got these locale warnings when I switched from SuSE 5.2 to RedHat
5.1.
I see. Could you possibly narrow down what went wrong/changed so we
could document it?
Now, I've removed all environment variable settings from my
profiles. This has been rewarded with a quiet startup ...
The one environment setting related to locale I've had problems with is
`*inputMethod: kinput2'. This appears to cause any Motif/Lesstif-using
application to coredump. Kterm, XEmacs, etc. deal with it O.K. of course.
