format-alist mangled

        Hi Hrvoje-

Why did you remove all the image formats from format-alist?

 	* format.el (format-alist): Disable image stuff. 
In order to look at picture files in XEmacs, I have to manually type

    M-: (image-decode-gif (point-min) (point-max))

This sucks.  I cannot even type `t', since it doesn't know what the
type is.
