Hello I know of some packages that encrypt/decrypt buffers or region of buffers, using pgp or gpg or whatsoever, crypt++pgp.el is an example. But I don't know of anything similar for files in dired mode. On the other hand dired-tar written by Jim Blandy, is very convenient, for it allows to call gzip, and tar from the dired buffer. Does anybody know about such a package???? Thanks Uwe Brauer PS I tried to set up something myself starting the old mailcrypt package, but it looks quite hairy.
