In XEmacs 21.4 (patch 3) "Academic Rigor" [Lucid] (i586-pc-win32) of Thu May 17 2001 on SHALOM configured using `configure UNKNOWN' Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug and the precise symptoms of the bug: Under MS-Windows, XEmacs (properly) accepts either (or both) a slash or a backslash in a filename as directory separator. However, this can lead to files being entered with a combination of both which can be disconcerting to new people. Emacs takes the approach of changing the entered filename during minibuffer-complete-word so that all the slashes agree with each other. Perhaps XEmacs should do the same?
