We get a lot of complaints from JDE users who see errors concerning `old-assoc' when using the XEmacs package. Looking at the code it seems this should never happen, so it must be either a byte compilation or XEmacs bug. Since I don't see this when compiling JDE myself I suspect its a byte compilation bug. There may even be something screwy in the package build process hat provokes this. andy
