Newly checked out 21.2.35 (2000-08-02 0300 GMT)[1]: src/xemacs -vanilla & Options -> Font -> Century Schoolbook L ;; the gutter rule does not expand to fit the new frame width ;; the font chosen doesn't seem to matter, as long as it's wider ;; than the default Options -> Edit Faces ... ;; oops: None of Ctrl-L, mouse movement, scrolling the window, or concealing and exposing it is sufficient to get the gutter (tabs) to redraw. Changing buffer to *scratch* does redraw the gutter. (Including the rule separating the gutter from the rest of the frame.) The font chosen doesn't seem to matter, whether it is wider or narrower than the default.
