Take a binary file with both dos and unix eol-ed strings embeeded in
them. For instance the Raine.exe from
www.rainemu.com will do.
C-u C-x C-f Raine.exe RET binary RET
M-x hexl-mode RET
C-x C-w r1.exe RET
Compare r1.exe and Raine.exe. r1.exe had all the eols converted to
unix.
