How long has that been the case (the .xemacs dir ) to store package-index? I haven't had one and it's worked in the past. If I say "List and install" why doesn't it use the package-index under $prefix/xemacs-$ver/etc ? It just starts downloading it from xemacs.org. I guess cause it doesn't find one under ~/.xemacs? jeff
